NOBUHIRO MINE "MINE COLOR" ( Goody no#:Japan:56 mins ) |
Garden/Kiss Me Now/Beyond The Night Sky/Laguna/San paburo +9 Japanese title |
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
Nobuhiro Mine Played with that excellent Japanese Guitar group The Sharp Five and features here
with some tasty guitar playing on this solo album. |
The first track has a meaty Santana beat with scorching guitar laid over keyboard backing and kicks the album
off in fine style. |
By contrast the second track, Garden is smooth and restful, aiternating between its tinkly pan-pipes and some
beautifully restful guitar work. |
More expressive guitar maintains the laid back mood on the ballad Kiss Me Now, and this the style
that dominates the album. |
With top notch playing and some deccent melodies it's all velly tasteful and easy on the ear. |
The tempo is raised again on some number, san paburo recalling the latin feel of the opner and the
finale being a vocal version of that same tune. |
Althouth listed only in japanese on the sleeve, track 5 is Beyond The night Sky composed By Masamitsu Sato.
This is a distant cousin to Walk Don't Run and flows very nicely with some neat Ventures-inspired touches in the arrengement.
Any guitar groups looking to add something new yet not too different to their repertoire are advised to check this track out. |
